April has been all about fishing big fish. My clients have caught tarpon and sharks in all kinds of weather and depths. The first of the month the large tarpon were pushed deep due to some cold and windy weather. We live baited in 10 to 25 feet of water to catch some truly large tarpon. My best days was with the father and son team of Kyle and Mark Bartlett, in 2 days we landed 7 tarpon and jumped many many more; 2 of the fish we caught were over 100 pounds and just to change it up we caught several sharks over 6ft.
The weather warmed up and the wind let up towards the end of the month which allowed some epic fly fishing days. I had a chance to fish a few of those days and jumped numerous tarpon in the 40-80 pound range. The night tarpon fishing has been going off when the wind lets up.
For all my fishermen I have May 2-5 and the 25-29 open if you can make a last minute trip. This is a great time of the year to head out to the Marquesas so email me at awscharters@gmail.com, call at 305 304 2483 or visit my Web site.

P.S. I have gone mainstream and would like to invite everyone to befriend me on facebook, twitter, and mobile me. You can find new pictures and weekly updates. AWS Charters is my screen name. I hope you all appreciate the photos!!!
